Setting a new benchmark for city-centre office space, 100 Liverpool Street is a low carbon building with a smart-enabled infrastructure. Developed by SRM Construction, this outstanding build has earned an ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM score, with a post-construction certification of 89.2%. BREEAM is a world-leading assessment method and provides independent third-party certification of the sustainability performance of individual buildings. This is an incredible achievement, and it propels the new site into the top 1% of sustainable office buildings in the UK.
A green project, this contemporary build was designed by Hopkins Architects and features work, social and retail space. It also boasts 433,000 sq ft of workspace on floors of 20,000 and 60,000 sq ft with immediate access to Liverpool Street station for Underground, National Rail and Crossrail. Additionally, 100 Liverpool Street has over 20,000 sq ft of terraces with landscaped gardens and views of St Paul’s Cathedral. It’s certainly a new landmark for London as a dining destination with visitors able to enjoy a rooftop restaurant and bar.
Throughout 2020, FILA provided on-site support and product training for the Associated Stone Group, the contractor and provider of the Terrazzo floors. With 2500 sq m in total, the project required our Green Line products for the treatment of these beautiful tiles. Working together to find the right products and the correct application process, we had to meet the green credentials set out by the client. CLEANER PRO was used for the initial cleaning, followed by STONE PLUS ECO, as our client required the colour of the stone to be enhanced with solvent-free products. To finalise and enforce the stone treatment a solvent-free stone protector was used, FILA’s MP90 ECO XTREME.
From all at FILA, congratulations to the 100 Liverpool Street team, whose commitment to sustainability has lead to this outstanding achievement.
