The 420 sq m of paving that graces the building around its whole perimeter, the portico and around the swimming pool are made of handmade terracotta that was in need of extensive renovation and maintenance: with the passing of the years, dirt and mould stains had almost undermined its beauty and rendered it unsafe and extremely slippery.
“To completely eliminate all the dirt and “impossible” stains we began to treat the surface both with specialist detergent for layered organic dirt (PS87 PRO), diluting it in water (1:10-1:20) and leaving it to act for 4-5 minutes” says Arben Tushaj – proprietor of AT Servizi Srl. - who carried out the complex task of restoring the surfaces.
“Subsequently we used FILA’s natural-effect, environmentally friendly, breathable water-repellent product HYDROREP ECO; this we applied neat in two coats, the first by spraying and the second with a wax bar. This particular product impregnates in depth while nonetheless allowing the surface to breathe; it hinders the growth of algae, mould and lichens and provides highly effective protection against deterioration caused by atmospheric agents. It can also be applied to damp surfaces, significantly speeding up working times”.
