The renovation and enlargement of Villa Manta, a 1970s villa overlooking one of the most suggestive beaches of the Sardinian coast, is a design challenge taken on by Studio GAAP.
A project that cements the partnership between FILA Solutions and LAPITEC®: over 1000 sq metres of LAPITEC® full-body sintered stone were treated by expert FILA Service personnel.
Bianco Polare with a Satin finish was selected for the interior floor finishes and some bathrooms of the villa, with a more structured Vesuvio finish - which reduces the slipperiness of surfaces - for the external paving.
FILA Service carried out cleaning of the surfaces after installation to remove various types of dirt, respecting the required architectural and technical specifications of the material and maintaining its anti-slip properties: a very important aspect above for outdoor environments and next to pools.
On the external paved walkway and the whole area in front of the villa, created in Bianco Polare with a Vesuvio finish, accumulated rust stains were cleaned with pure DETERDEK PRO, left to act for 10 minutes and then rinsed.
Existing dirt due to maintenance work (such as paints, etc.), dust, earth and impurities left by atmospheric agents were removed with PS87 PRO which was diluted (at a ratio of 1:1), left to act for 10 minutes and then rinsed; installation and grouting residues were washed with DETERDEK PRO, diluted at a ratio of 1:5, with a final rinse.
To eliminate dirt of micro-bacterial and plant origin, the swimming pool edge surfaces were treated with pure ALGAE NET external anti-algae detergent and then rinsed.
In interior rooms featuring LAPITEC® Bianco Polare with a Satin finish, stains of different types were cleaned with PS87 PRO degreasing and wax-removing detergent; even graphite pencil marks were removed using pure PHZERO directly on the stains, leaving it to act for 10 minutes before rinsing.
For routine maintenance the use of appropriately diluted CLEANER PRO - a neutral residue-free detergent - was recommended.
