Manufactured stone, also called recomposed or artificial stone, is made by mixing binders (concrete, sands or clays) with ground stone and marble. It is generally used as a facing for exterior and interior walls, as well as a facing and feature for perimeter walls, etc. Solvent-based products are recommended for these kinds of medium-to-low absorbent material. There is also a kind of manufactured stone made entirely from chalk, used exclusively for interior wall coverings due to its high absorbency. We recommend using a matt wax on this particular material to prevent flaking and make cleaning easier.
