A luxury hotel, a warm terracotta floor covering, and perfect protection and finishing with Fila products for the Vincci Selección chain’s brand new Estrella Del Mar hotel complex in the heart of the Costa del Sol, just a few kilometres from Marbella. Terracotta, supplied mainly by San Genis, is the material used for the 7500 square metres of floors of the rooms, corridors, balconies and communal areas. The material was treated in two separate phases: after installation, the terracotta was protected with waterrepellent HYDROREP ECO to simplify grouting and post-installation cleaning (carried out with PhZero cleaner). In the next stage, the terracotta was protected against stains of all kinds with W68, the natural-effect water-based stainproofer, on surfaces both indoors (rooms, bathrooms and corridors) and outdoors (terraces and balconies). Finally, the protection of the indoor surfaces was completed with application of a satin-finish wax, Matt, to maintain the material’s natural look.
